EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

•  All individuals entering a Makalala Trans vehicle and/or property owned or controlled by Makalala Trans  do so entirely at their own risk.
• Makalala Trans bear no responsibility for any loss or damages (including consequential or special damages, loss of profits), loss of life, bodily injury, or damage to or loss of property of any nature and cause, whether or not caused Makalala Trans its directors, officers, servants, agents, or any other person acting on behalf of or under the control of Makalala Trans arising from or connected in any way with the transportation or non-transportation of any passenger or persons and/or their property.

TICKETS

• The ticket serves as evidence of the transportation agreement among Makalala Trans the ticket purchaser, and the passenger (the Parties). These terms and conditions apply to the issuance of such ticket/s and collectively constitute the entire agreement between the Parties.
• A ticket is valid solely for the passenger to whom it is issued and for the specified route, date, and time. The passenger must present their unique ticket reference number and appropriate identification for boarding and check-in.
• It is the responsibility of the PASSENGER to ensure accurate information on the ticket. Any ticket alterations may invalidate it.
• Tickets are non-transferable.
• Lost tickets are non-refundable.
• Only tickets purchased from Makalala Trans or its authorized agents are valid. Tickets obtained from any other source will be void, and the bearer has no claim against Makalala Trans for any damages.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A ticket may be canceled under the following conditions:

• More than 24 hours before departure allows for a refund or reschedule with a R100.00 admin fee.
• At or less than 24 hours before departure, only a reschedule is allowed with a R50.00 admin fee; refunds are not permitted.
• Cancellations on the date of departure between 3 hours and 1 hour before departure allow only a reschedule with an R150.00 admin fee.
• No refund or rescheduling is permitted within 1 hour of the scheduled departure.
• Makalala Trans is not bound by verbal quotations; written quotes are valid only when provided, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

TIMETABLES AND SCHEDULES

• Passengers should arrive at the terminal or pick-up point 30 MINUTES before departure. Late passengers must purchase a new ticket or transferred to the next bus only if space is available.
• If Makalala Trans is late or rescheduled, communication to the passengers will go out by sms, telephonically or verbally by Makalala Trans officials.   

BREAKDOWNS, DELAYS, AND CANCELLATION OF SERVICES

• NO REFUNDS are provided for breakdowns or delays.
• Services may be canceled due to operational conditions, force majeure, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
• NO REFUNDS for cancellations due to weather or conditions beyond Makalala Trans control.
• Passengers will be rebooked for an alternative date, bus and time  if delays/ incidents occurs and communication will be provided to the passengers 
• Makalala Trans may shuttle passengers between stops.

SMOKING, USE OF DRUGS AND ALCOHOL

• Makalala Trans reserve the right to refuse transportation for intoxicated, drug-using, or smoking passengers.
• Breaches of terms regarding alcohol, drugs, or smoking result in immediate disembarkation with no compensation, refund, or rescheduling. Legal action may be initiated against violators.
